Thinkpad X1 Extreme Gen 2 Brightness Adjustment

2020-02-01, 13:00 PM

Hi!

Brightness Adjustment still not working. BIOS is 1.28, INtel Driver is the latest version from Lenovo 26.20.100.7529, not possible to install the original Intel driver. In Hybrid Mode its not possible to dimm the OLED screen.

Is there any suggestion how to get this working or when there wil finaly be a working driver for a 4k Laptop? This way its unusable when beeing outside.

Kind regards

Hi !

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums.

Are you able to dim the screen in desktop mode? It's possible that when you're using hybrid mode the machine saves more power that disable the brightness control.

Try to disbable power saving technology by going to "Intel Graphics Control Panel" -> Power -> Disable "Display Power Saving Technology". If you have multiple power plans, you need to change this for all of them.

Regards,

HI @Van_Lenovo,

thanks.

Its not possible to dim the screen. Its always at full brightness, regardless what you choose via Fn+F5 / F6.

This seems to be a problem for many users as  read throught the forum.  Any other suggestions?
