Thinkpad X1 Extreme - Screen goes to fuzz

I have a new X1E that has had this issue happen 2 or 3 times. The screen will go to white fuzz.  The only way to get it back is to reboot or sleep/wake.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Re: Thinkpad X1 Extreme - Screen goes to fuzz

Did you find a solution to this?  I had it happen for the first time after about a week of owning this X1 Extreme.  I have the FHD display rather than 4K.

Re: Thinkpad X1 Extreme - Screen goes to fuzz

Nope.  I have FHD as well.  This did not start happening to me until after an update.  I have had no luck in rolling back Video drivers (Have tried several.)

I can only assume this is Windows Update (Major Update) related.  As the 1804 (I think) release came out right around the time it started.

I also find several folks with similar issues that spanned across dif manufs.

How often does it happen?  I had it happen twice today, which were the first and second times I've seen it.

I did find that I can just close the laptop and re-open it, and it goes away.  (I have my laptop set to do nothing when I close the lid, so it doesn't sleep).

Yep, that's the same thing I've experienced.  Although I can say, it hasn't happened to me for about a month now, so fingers crossed...

Are you on FHD or 4K?
