Thinkpad X1 Yoga (1 st Gen) Touchscreen stopped working

Neither the stylus nor the touch is longer working. Seems to be related to an upgrade of Touch Firmware from Lenovo.

Lenovo support here in Sweden recommends a complete reinstall of Windows.

Update: When I found this https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/se/en/solutions/HT502617 article and tried  it, it didn't work.

There, I found that the "HID-Compliant pen" and "HID-Compliant touch.." were greyed out. Capture Device manager HID not connected.JPGUpdate: My timeline for this is that I used the touchscreen/pen on a meeting on October 9, the Touch firmware updated on October 11 (prompted by Lenovo Vantage) on a meeting the next day, neither the touch nor the pen worked. No significant Windows updates, the version of Windows 10 is 1803

Yes, seems like the issue has been around for a while.

has been classified as a hardware failure. Technician and new screen on its way.

Technician changed the screen. Still didn't work. Restarted Windows in safe mode, then rebooted -> worked with new screen
