Thinkpad X1 Yoga 3rd Gen 1TB Samsung SSD Upgrade

2018-10-06, 22:44 PM

I'm ordering a X1 Yoga 3rd Gen and I'm looking to replace the SSD when I receive it. Would this samsung one work properly? If not what's another ssd I could use?

Your machine specs:

Storage
Some: M.2 SSD / SATA 6.0Gb/s (e.g. xxxG SSD)

Some: M.2 SSD / PCIe NVMe, PCIe 3.0 x 4, 32Gb/s (e.g. xxxG SSD PCIe NVMe)

You have a sata slot and a pci/e slot, both M.2.

The Samsung EVO 970 pci/e 3x4 would be a happy addition to your SATA M2. stick in the Sata port.
