I have bought new Thinkpad X1 Yoda 3rd Gen three weeks before and from yesterday I have noticed that battery status is showing charging even adapter is not plugged in, If I plugged in its charging but when I remove it still showing charging.
How can I resolve this issue?

I have resolved my self, below is the solution:
Go to BIOS via restart and press F1 button:
-- Config > Power > Disabled the builtin battery power <Enter> <Yes>
That will immediatly turned off your laptop, then plugin the power adapter press start button, that issue will no loger exists.

Well done finding this dude! Had a werid issue like this with my X1Y3, basically I had my note 8 connected and my Thunderbolt 3 Dock and for some strange reason my phone was trying to charge my laptop as well. After disconnecting everything, I was hearing windows detect a device connected, then disconnected and it would not charge but the charge light remains lit. Using your find, I was able to get it fixed.
I do recall seeing on the spec sheet some sort of interesting feature mentioned in passing with little detail. Lenovo offers some sort of surge suppression on the thunderbolt ports on this machine. I can only guess that somehow this feature was tripped and was the cause if it not allowing power into the machine.
