Thinkpad X1 Yoga 3rd Gen Stylus compatibility

Hello all!
After a lot of unsatisfactory research, I'd like to ask, which type of Touchpen / Stylus will be compatible with the X1 Yoga of 2018 (3rd gen). Would I need an active pen or a digitizer pen? Can anyone recommend one? The included pen is fine, but I'd like to have one that is easier to hold, meaning bigger and softer. Something like the Wacom Grip Pen.

Thank you in advance for your replies adn tips!

Re: Thinkpad X1 Yoga 3rd Gen Stylus compatibility

Dear customer,

ThinkPad X1 Yoga 3rd gen can support Active PEN, and supported ThinkPad models are listed in Lenovo Options page.

Accessories and Options Compatibility Matrix (OCM)

https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/um006391

ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, ThinkStation, Ideapad and Ideacentre Option Compatibility Matrix

Based on this, Lenovo Active Pen 2 may be your requirement, isn’t it?

Re: Thinkpad X1 Yoga 3rd Gen Stylus compatibility

Thanks for your answer!

The recommended Pen is not eally what I'm looking for. Maybe I'm just gonna try if a different Wacom pen will work. I'm still wondering though, what kind of technology the screen uses for touch (capacitive?). Can't seem to find anything about that.

Re: Thinkpad X1 Yoga 3rd Gen Stylus compatibility

I bought a Wacom Bamboo Ink stylus for use with my Thinkpad X1Y3 and it works flawlessly.
