that sounds weird, I'll try to do some more stuff in windows and se if that helps, if not I guess I'll try to reinstall windows again and NOT use the newest drivers from lenovo this time.
do you know what BIOS you are currently on? I'm on 1.23

i am at 5 hrs now after a few months of use. Not good enough for me. I'd be happier if they added another half lb of battery cells to this thing and give me crazy battery life
FYI, i have the latest bios and all drivers.

For better battery life on Ubuntu 18.04 check this out: https://medium.com/@agathver/nvidia-gpu-optimus-prime-and-ubuntu-18-04-woes-f52e7f850f3d
Before I disabled Nvidia GPU I have ~5hours on battery.
After I have ~20hours on battery (min brightness and disabled wifi), with wifi, 50% brightness, browser, and some light apps are now ~12hours.

I reinstalled windows and used batterybar pro (very cheap) to monitor my power usage (watts) it turned out to be my msi afterburner that I use to monitor my cpu and gpu temperature that was making my pc sitting constantly at 10-15% idle
after I got rid of that it went down to 0-2% idle and only uses 4-9w instead of 13-24w! when I'm watching netflix on microsoft Edge with 75% backlight I can get up to 10-12 hours on WINDOWS!
if I alternate between a few tabs in chrome (1-3) and word/excel it will last me between 9-13 hours on 50% depending on how often I use chrome
It is just very important to put the battery slider all the way to the left on battery saver, no backlight in keyboard and 50-75% brightness
I also made sure to cycle the battery a few times 5 times from 10-100 and a few resets in Vantage (took a lot of time!)
I am very cautious with my battery and therefore set a charge limit to 80% and it will stil last between 6.5-12 hours depending on what I am doing on my pc
I only use batterybar pro for the power consumption, since it fluctuates alot with the time left on battery and just go with the Vantage/windows battery gauge (they are almost similar in predicting the time left anyways)
P.S: I repasted my CPU and GPU with Thermal grizzly Kryonaut + thermalpads on GPU memory and removed the bottom mesh aswell as a -150mV in Throttlestop
My X1E is a FHD, i5 8300h, 16GB + 2 SSD
