Thinkpad X1 yoga display issues

2019-07-24, 4:02 AM

So I’m running a Thinkpad Yoga Gen 1 and in the past few months it’s been behaving oddly. The display would suddenly switch to cool (blue tint) before gradually becoming warm (yellow/brown tint). I’ve tried updating all my display drivers but nothing seems to work. It seems to be a random thing – it happens for no apparent reason and there doesn’t seem to be a trigger for it.

Would anyone out there have any ideas? Let me know what other info you need

check out the hardware settings in vantage.

hardware settings > audio visual > eye care mode

I think theres a setting for auto dimming that might be related too

edit:  Auto dimmer:  windows settings > display > brightness color > Change brightness automatically *uncheck*

hi, you don't need to update drivers because of your screen display actually disabled. It means your screen hasn't been working.

so you have to change your display into the Lenovo service center nearby at your location or else exchange it or replace it with the new one.

I've tried it, and it has improved the situation. However, I find that when I connect devices over bluetooth it does happen (recently got a bluetooth headset, so I'm noticing it now)
