A couple of days back, after a windows update, the fingerprint scanner on my Thinkpad X270 has stopped working.
Initially, in Device Manager, it displayed the following:
"This device cannot start (Code 10)"
But after I tried to update the drivers, it now displays:
"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
The requested operation was unsuccessful."
Any ideas what I can do to fix it? It's as if it just suddenly stopped working overnight.
