Thinkpad x260 downgrade rights to Windows 7 Pro

Hi All,

First of all I have already researched the forums about this issue, but couldn't find a solution that I'd be confident with, hence starting this topic.

We have purchased this x260 with Win10/Win7 Pro preload with downgrade rights to Win7 if needed.

I guess only one of the two operating systems would be available, which is in this case Windows 10. Now, from what I have gathered so far, an OEM key (and the install media) should be used for the downgrade. I've also read that enterprise licenses aren't covered in the downgrade rights.

I do hope that I've misunderstood something, because

1. we only have enterprise license for win7 pro,

1. if we have to have a separate install media and a license key for Win7, than what exactly the point of paying extra for the downgrade rights?

If someone could please shed some light on how is this downgrade process is done, I'd be ever so grateful.

Many thanks in advance,

kind regards,

Bruno
