USB ports not working on Thunderbolt 3 Dock Gen 2 (40AN)/ X1 Carbon 7th Gen (20QE) Win 10

USB 2.4Ghz mouse doesn't work on any of the Dock 2 USB ports. Same mouse adaptor works right away when in the ThinkPad USB ports. Tried a couple of other USB devices, old an new, and none work in the Dock ports even though they work fine when in the Win 10 ThinkPad as well as in another older Win 7 laptop.

 

Checked all Win 10 drivers are latest versions, tried the disable/enable toggle, all to no avail. The Dock itself is hapilly driving two monitors and seems to otherwise work fine.  The always-on USB port on the back has power, and so does the one USB port on the front (but neither work for USB connected devices). This is a brand new setup, hoping for a trivial solution otherwise I will chuck this whole thing, at this age this should be plug and play.

 

Suggestions?

Thanks @Van_Lenovo - unfortunately no change as the latest drivers were already installed.  See screen shot when attempting to override with the driver pack from the support site.

Any other suggestions from anybody out there? Again, the docking station drives two monitors just fine, but none of the USB ports communicate with USB accessories that otherwise work fine when in the lenovo laptop USB ports.  Drivers are all up to date, according to the Lenovo utlities.

 

Right now, it looks like I'll be returning the docking station for replacement under warranty. Doesn't feel like a hardware issue to me, but I don't have time or appetite for troubleshooting a brand new product that should be plug and play.

Thanks @bananaman - unfortunately I punted to Lenovo and sent the thing back, waiting for replacement. I'll report on that when I get it.

Hi there,

 

I am having the same problem (for my mouse, keyboard, and headphones). I am going to try the firmware update (although I just purchased my dock a couple days ago so it probably already has the latest software)

Just wanted to check to see if you have an update on the status of your dock.
