Unable to recover X201 from repair discs

2015-07-25, 14:52 PM

Hi

I am not able to find the system image on the DVD that I have burnt. It is asking for drivers installation. I am not sure what drivers it is looking for. Can somebody please let me know what is it looking for?

Thanks,

Shiva

It would be easier for someone to help if you could provide the model, the operating system and what you used to make the backup.

Hi,

The model of the thinkpad is 3249-CTO. The operating system is windows 7 PRO. I used the following steps to burn a copy:

https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht004960

Boot media was burnt to CD and then Data media to a DVD.

When I load the boot media it loads the RnR menu and later it asks for load drivers and I am stuck here.

NOTE: I am trying to install this on a new HDD.

Thanks,

Shiva

I don't know. Is the new HDD an advanced format drive? That could be the problem. The version of R&R you have may not have the Intel drivers, and the partition structure might not be 4K aligned.
