Upgrade SSD X1 Carbon Gen 4 from 256 GB to 1 TB

Hi,

I bough a Carbon X1 Gen 4 with 256 GB (SAMSUNG MZNLN256HCHP-000L7). I would like to upgrade 1TB (SAMSUNG 960 PRO M.2 NVME SSD). Is it possible to upgrade or not?

Please advise me.

I like to order below link for that.

Re: Upgrade SSD X1 Carbon Gen 4 from 256 GB to 1 TB

Hi NeLin195,

Warm Greetings & welcome to Lenovo Community, happy to have you here.

I do not see any reason why it will not work with your system also according to this thread - it works fine.

I hope the above information helped you.

Please feel free to post in Lenovo Community Forums if you have any further queries!

Regards,
Prabhansh

Re: Upgrade SSD X1 Carbon Gen 4 from 256 GB to 1 TB

Prabhansh,

May I ask you one more again?

I have bough (Samsung 960 Pro M.2 NVMe SSD) on last two day ago.

How to migrate all my data files from previous SSD to new 1 TB SSD. Because, I don't have any SSD adapter to usb for transfering.

Could you please give me instruction for that.

Thanks,
