I bought Lenovo Thinkpad Carbon X1 2017 (black) laptop with the FHD screen a few months ago and now I want to upgrade to the WQHD screen. Is this still possible? How much would it cost to change the screen on my laptop? For more information, I live in New York City, New York and I am willing to visit a certified Lenovo outlet in the city to make this happen. Please let me know who to contact / which number to call. I'm very happy with the machine but I do wish that the screen had a higher resolution.
Thank you for your help! Wishing you a pleasant day ahead.

As I understand that you have query regarding reaplacing your X1 Carbon 5th Gen to WQHD from FHD display.
I believe it is possible you need to change LCD panel WQHD (00NY664) & LCD cable WQHD (01LV499) & please refer to this thread which suggests upgrading to WQHD from FHD
I hope the above information helped you.

I think you also need to change the read cover (lid).

Agree with Richk you need to order to Rear cover (01LV501) aswell but sadly LCD cable & cover are not available to order online now whereas LCD panel is available on some websites

Well I have gone through several websites but I have only found LCD panel in stock on this & this rest parts are not available currently due to system being relatively new. So my suggestion will be to check on Lenovo local outlet of your city whether they have these parts in stock or not.
