Re: Which keyboard is this?

Could you have a look at the keyboard bottom side? There is its FRU #, it'll allow to recognize the layout language.

UPD

Another way if the keyboard is factory installed. Provide, please, laptop' MTM code.

Re: Which keyboard is this?

According to the MTM the keyboard in your laptop should (!) be with standard US International layout (USI index in the keyboard description on the snapshot from the partslookup page), i.e.it's a QWERTY type. Have a look at the photo on the page you've made a snapshot from.

I haven't found the layout on the photo in your initial post above in the x240 keyboards list. I'd assume someone exchanged standard layout to the one you have now by moving the keys for some reason. So, return them back carefully yourself.

That seems to be a US keyboard with swapped keys, since:

  • European layouts have big Enter keys, not the tiny one of your picture
  • Real AZERTY layouts also have the numbers on top of the each key and the special symbols on the bottom, not the other way around

Regards

Re: Which keyboard is this?

Thank you all for your help.

I thought buying an AZERTY laptop but I wasn't. It was a disguised qwerty keyboard. When buying a second hand item we can encounter sometimes dishonest people.

Anyway I ve found a very helpful community in this forum, which is great!
