Re: Why there is still no review on X1 Extreme?

I did run Crystal Mark, but I don't know what the baseline scores for the Samsung are for comparison.

Otherwise I plan to use the 30 days to evaluate the machine and if I end up hanging on to it will replace it with a 1TB Samsung 970 Pro

CrystalDiskMark scores of the Union Memory drive for what they are worth.  I don't know what the baseline comparison is for the Samsung model

Re: Why there is still no review on X1 Extreme?

I happened to have a PM961 1TB NVMe SSD on my computer Smiley Very Happy

Here is my CrystalDiskMark result for comparison:PM961_1TB_Sager_NP8952.png

I don't have a ThinkPad with M.2 slot, so this benchmark was run on my other laptop with Intel i7-7700HQ CPU.

Re: Why there is still no review on X1 Extreme?

To be honest, I really don't understand what each of the tests is, but the 2nd one on my Union Memory drive seems a little off, the other 3 don't seem to compare too bad in comparison to the Samsung?

Another claim I put to the test today was the 0-80 in 60 claims.  I let it completely drain to zero last night and sit all day unplugged.  When I got home I plugged it in and started a 60-minute timer.  I fired it up after the 60 minutes and was pleasantly surprised to find it had actually charged to 84%.  Not bad Lenovo Smiley Happy

It makes it easy to forgive that you can't charge it via USB-C, when you can recoup that much of a charge in an hour Smiley Happy

I’m sure he meant 60 minutes not seconds also lol.  But again that’s amazing!

Oh yeah, that was a Grammarly auto-correct.  Mostly I like Grammarly, but sometimes it corrects my shorthand in the wrong way Smiley Happy

Re: Why there is still no review on X1 Extreme?

I can't really explain the meaning for each row of result either. Someone correct me if i am wrong, but i think the 3rd and 4th row would be more important since it reflects random files transferring speed, in which the higher read and write speed the better. So, in my opinion the performance of your SSD is decent!
