Windows Hello Face X1 Yoga 3rd Gen, Camera Compatible Issues Thinkpad

2020-04-27, 15:53 PM

Hello,

I have been all over Google and can't get this issue resolved, I have a 3rd Generation X1 Yoga, the fingerprints sensor is working but when I try to add the Sign-In Option of Windows Hello Face, it results in

"We couldn't find a camera compatible with Windows Hello Face"

It seems like a fairly common issue with other users of X1 Yoga

Also under the Device Manager I only see 1 camera installed " Integrated Camera", shouldn't there be a IR Camera

Any insight or direction would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the direction, you are correct both are missing. I attached a picture

How would I go about installing both of those? The Laptop is still under warranty, could they do it or is there a driver I need to download

ServiceBridge never picked up anything...

I also went into Control Panel and Ran Lenovo System Update, got all the updates, updated the BIOS, went online and got the Integrated Camera driver for the YOGA..still nothing showing up

That Camera driver also said it should take care of the IR Camera driver, but nothing got picked up after installing it
