X 220 Ram upgrade...

Hi, could you please tell me if "Kingston Hyper X 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX" is compatible with X220?

that item listed is for desktop and not for laptop, you would need a SODIMM 204 pin ddr 3 ram module.

So what you listed is not compatible.

Thank you for the fast answer! Does it matter whether  it is DDR3 1866 or DDR3 1600?

I ordered the X220 with the i7-2620 option. In its memory specifications says "memory types DDR3-1066/1333". Does this mean that it won't support the new Hyper X DDR3 1600 thatsuppose tobe developed specifically for the new Sandy Bridge processors?

the maximum speed the new X220 supports is DDR3 1333 mhz, you can use the 1600 ram, it will just run at the 1333 mhz speed.

So, i guess it doesn't worth the extra money. Cause i had the impression it would improve performance to systems with not discreet graphics (like X220)...

well it won't improve your system performance, so you are not getting any physical benefits from buying these faster ram now.
