Re: X1 6 gen HDR - Is the panel 8 bit (reported by EDID) or 12 bit (required by Dolby Vision)?

There is a power setting on the same page where you enable hdr in windows 10. Im on a phone right now so I cant tell you the name of the setting, but it is something about brightness and battery power! Make sure that there is no limitations to brightness on battery and the "fake" hdr should work if you want it to.

Hi yes thanks there is indeed an option. There was a checkbox that I hadn't noticed that says "Don't play HDR...... when on battery" that can be seen further down.

Ok, but still the same situation. We will see how Lenovo will explain that, DolbyVision update is anounced too. We will see. At the moment its just a big hoax.

Hi Roman,

DxDiag says:

Current Mode: 2560 x 1440 (32 bit) (60Hz)
HDR Support: Not Supported
Display Topology: Internal
Display Color Space: DXGI_COLOR_SPACE_RGB_FULL_G22_NONE_P709

But this screen was sold to us as a HDR DV screen. The colour space is only Rec.709 so why's this not what it says on the box?
