Is it still under warranty? (many had 3-years) What are the symptoms? (There is no graphics card or graphics chip. It is integrated.)

The Intel HD is integrated into same chip as CPU chip so it's all in one sort off like amd does on their A series they have CPU and a gpu section in the same chip.

Getting multicolored lines on screen, after some time laptop reboots. Works fine in MS-DOS mode. Warranty expired 4 months ago

Yes, this is the case. Got quote from repair shop - 1200$ for motherboard. Kind of sucks

lines could also be something todo with screen itself not allways intel hd so have you tried usin external monitor to check? if display shows up normal on external one then you are in luck, then it isn't your intel hd thats faulty then it's your monitor on laptop that needs to be re-placed and not the motherboard.

The same with external monitor

ok then you are in bad luck :/ only option is to replace the motherboard then.

Same thing happened to mine, same generation machine as well. Probably some systematic fault peopel will see more of as these things get older... I got a quote from Lenovo to get it fixed, $2,100.
So, if you have one of these, I'd be budgeting to replace it soon. Cause you sure can't get it fixed with the rip off prices Lenovo charge!
