X1 Carbon 4th Gen Battery Plugged in, Charging, won't charge

2019-07-22, 2:12 AM

Hello!

I've had my X1 Carbon for about 2 years. Today, out of nowhere, it stopped charging. The indicator light is on, and it says it is plugged in, charging. However, the icon on the taskbar isn't moving as it usually does when charging.

I have tried letting the power drain, different outlets, the static discharge button on the bottom, and turning off the battery in BIOS. Nothing has worked.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Make sure it is not set to "Airplane Mode. both from the Windows 10 Action Center (icon at lower right in the Taask Bar, and using Lenovo Vantage    (Lenovo Vantage -> Hardware Settings -> Airplane Power Mode) .

If it is activated, it will prevent your laptop from changing

Unfortunately, Airplane power mode is off in both locations. Thanks for telling me about Vantage, though, I didn't have it installed until now!

What does Vantage say about the Battery condition?

Vantage says my battery is in good condition. Should I try buying a new charger?
