X1 Carbon 4th Generation with Wigig

2017-02-24, 15:30 PM

I have ordered a new  X1 Carbon (Type 20FB, 20FC) Laptop (ThinkPad) , and I also bought with it the Wigig Docking station. for somehow I can not see any application which supports it!

My question is does my Laptop supports Wigig? and if yes which I asume; what are the applications I need to install in it? I have tried following the procedure in the maunal but with no luck!

It is easy to know: on your laptop, go to settings/ Network & Internet / Wi-Fi and then click on "hardware properties".

If you have like me (lenovo thinkpad yoga 260) under description: Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260, then you don't have the wigig card.

The Wigig card is displayed with Intel(R) Tri Band... and is normally a 18260 or 18265...

I was confused by the advertising of the wigig dock that says that my lenovo 260 is compatible but in reality you cannot find the option to buy in the lenovo website.

I think that for the X1 carbon you should be able to order it.

I hope it will help.

Best regards
