Did anyone try to fix this through Lenovo support and/or pursue repair/replacement under warranty? – I didn’t but I’m soon about to cause having a $2K workhorse that chokes on net bits is crazy! … For me sometimes the WWAN LTE just disappears from Windows 10 connections but machine works on WiFi or Ethernet ok; a restart brings the Fibocom back.
I had similar ‘lost LTE’ in my other HP Spectre X2; while it didn’t have BSOD the LTE did get lost just the same leaving me to think Windows 10 just have some underlaying issue with those radios.
So meanwhile if you do a Shutdown while holding Shift (Full shutdown) then the Fibocom LTE will most likely work well for that session.

Thank you for your patience and valuable feedback in regard to this issue.
Engineers were able to work with our suppliers and an update on RS5 has been released by Microsoft last March 1, 2019 to address this issue. Please look out for update KB4482887 (OS Build 17763.348).
Thank you all again for your patience.

Juste tested latest patch on my X1 carbon.
Speedtest always caused BSOD.
Ran test now 5 time, up to 120Mbps download and worked perfectly.
Issue indeed seems to be solved now!
