Its not as simple as that, because the type of screen you have affects the compatiblity of the antenna. So far, Lenovo is not shipping the X1C 6th with the LTE modem, but the new X1 Yoga is shipping with the LTE modem, and on the configurator the LTE option is not available if you opt for the 500 nit HDR screen.

I have been waiting on my build for a long time now and I was told they were out of keyboards? I was told today that they should have it completed and ready to ship tomorrow and no later than Friday. I am really hoping that mine has the option for the WWAN 4G LTE too. Below is my build specs and I am moving from a similar spec model from 2017 to this new 2018. Can wait to get it.

Finally, after installing the antennas and the Lenovo ThinkPad Fibocom XMM7360 L850-GL CAT9 WWAN Modul #4XC0R38452, my X1C6 (20KHCTO1WW) is WWAN 4G operational.

So, the Lenovo Carbon X1 20KHCTO1WW does support the SIM card 4G slot? I have the same model, but I don't even see the SIM card slot in the BIOS setup. Is this normal?
EDIT: @RicFr Where did you get the "Lenovo ThinkPad Fibocom XMM7360 L850-GL CAT9 WWAN Modul #4XC0R38452", and how did you install it?
Did anyone get the SIM card working on Ubuntu (18.04.1 LTS Bionic)?

Yes, the X1 20KHCTO1WW defintely supports WWAN 4G sim card slot. There is no option in the bios for "sim card slot", the 4G modem once plugged in will appear in device manager.
I got the modem from here:
Installing it is quite easy (of course you must install the antennas first, but that is also not difficult); there is a sort of guide at the following thread:

Is this the link for the module you've installed?
