I bought this X1 Carbon 6th gen a couple weeks ago, I never used the USB ports.
Today I found the USB port on the right side is totally not responding. I have tried USB stick, my phones, none of those gave any feedback when plugged in.
The left USB is working perfectly.
I suspected it was the driver, but after uninstalled and installed, no luck.
I even installed Ubuntu, same results. So it is not the driver.
I also tried the emergency reset button.
I used Lenovo Vantage to test hardware, no errors found.
Any advice/suggestions? What else can I try?

It looks to me that you have done all the diagnosis necessary and need to avail yourself of your warranty. If you haven't already opened a case with support I'd like to suggest you do so.
