Hmm but if it's the same 6th Gen chassis it would have the SIM card slot and you should be able to add it on yourself by purchasing a 3rd party LTE-A M.2 card. This assumes you have an unused M.2 slot inside and the LTE antenna cables running to that slot.

There’s a little slot at the back that house the SIM card and SD card, but I checked and it doesn’t seems ok, you gotta customize it and it only available in May I believe.

I had a look at what's behind the plastic cover that you were referring to. I looked at the pictures taken from the X1 Carbon 6th Gen. There are 2 slots as you've pointed out.

The slot on the left appears to be to microSDXC card slot while the one on the right is the Nano SIM card slot.

Here's a diagram from a website:

No, this is not correct; it's must smaller - half the size, sim on top and sd on bottom; I don't think it's wired hence I don't think we can just buy then plug n play.

From what I've heard, that is not available yet. It will be available in later models. I haven't opened up the back of X1 Carbon yet but I am willing to try to see what the sim slot is for then on our current models.

Anyways, FAX FIX PLEASE!!!!

wuga:

Ahh OK. I haven't seen one in person.

On my Dell XPS, the SIM Card slot shows up as a device in windows Device Manager. Look for card readers in there. If the SIM slot shows up there then you're good to go :)

Even if it doesn't, there are many internal WWAN modules that come with their own SIM slot. This just means that you won't be able to change the SIM without opening your laptop's back cover.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. Dolby Vision or LTE-A? The Both options are definitely available here in the UK.
