X1 Carbon 6th gen Integrated Camera and IR camera driver missing

2020-06-19, 0:05 AM

I have had my machine for a little over a year, and three months ago, my webcam stopped working. I tried to solve the problem by reinstalling the drivers, but now both the webcam and the IR camera stopped working. I first tried to reinstall(upgrade) the drivers using the wizard provided by the Lenovo website, but it said my drivers are already up to date and do nothing. So I tried to uninstall the drivers from the device manager, but the drivers just kept popping back up, and the wizard still cannot install. I then rebooted the device into safe mode and deleted the .sys files in the drivers folder, and reinstalled the drivers successfully. But now there are two yellow exclamation marks on the side of my driver icon in the device manager, and I tried almost everything I could find on the web to fix it(including deleting a certain “Upperfilter” in Regedit), but nothing works. Is there anything I can do, or do I have to reinstall the system completely?

Thank you so much!
