Re: X1 Carbon 6th gen and X1 Yoga 3rd gen Modern Standby issues

I don't understand why Lenovo is not responding.

I know others are talking about going back to S3 but for me, I want the instant on (500ms) feature.

I just want a consistant S0ix experience so I want lenovo to debug, root cause and provide a fix for Modern Standby.

Re: X1 Carbon 6th gen and X1 Yoga 3rd gen Modern Standby issues

I had actually never heard of Connected/Modern Standby until we started noticing this issue. Does it typically not use as much battery life as users are reporting with the 6th Gen Carbons and 3rd Gen Yogas?

Re: X1 Carbon 6th gen and X1 Yoga 3rd gen Modern Standby issues

It's been 73 days since the X1 Carbon 6th Gen got the S3 sleep option in BIOS, yet the X1 Yoga 3rd Gen still doesn't have it with BIOS 1.27.

The lack of S3 sleep for the X1 Yoga 3rd Gen should not be ignored, and the discussion should not be scattered and forgotten.

Please consider merging this thread with a master thread regarding S3 sleep fix: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-X-Series-Laptops/X1-Yoga-3rd-Gen-S3-Sleep-Linux/m-p/4235264

Re: X1 Carbon 6th gen and X1 Yoga 3rd gen Modern Standby issues

Can we please get some kind of an official update on the status of these requests? Even if it's a "no" or "we're working on it", it would be nice to have Lenovo respond. It's bad enough I opened a support request that was never followed up on.
