X1 Carbon 7th gen: Touchpad drivers download link

2019-10-15, 22:13 PM

I'm using the X1 Carbon 7th gen, which I've purchased just 2 weeks ago. As I reinstalled the Windows OS, I can't find the Synaptics drivers anywhere... Definitely, they're not present in the support page, where theye usally could be found. Anyone has such a link maybe? Currently my touchpad is detectes as a 'Standard Microsoft Mouse' and it works really badly...

In Device Manager under Human Interface Devices, do you see: HID-compliant touch pad?

Thanks NateS, the link You've provided made it all clear. Yes, my touchpad is seen as 'HID compliant device' and, as I understand, there are no plans (unfortunately) of releasing dedicated drivers with dedicated software as in all the previeous X1 Carbon editions. I really regret that - as I fully agree that the Synaptics software was much better in many terms in comparison to current Microsoft one.
