X1 Carbon Copy / Paste Using Control / C / V

2014-03-08, 23:24 PM

Hi folks, just got the X1 two days ago and am trying to figure what shortcut replace the old control / C / V to copy and paste.  I've only spent about 30 - 40 minutes seriously looking, but it shouldn't be this hard.  Thanks, Al

What? Do I read that well? Do Ctrl-C and Crtl-V not work anymore on the 2014 X1? Is Lenovo trying to go away from all standards. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. The X1 Carbon 2014 chain has some unbelievably weak links:

- removal of tangible buttons for sound

- removal of tangible dedicated trackpoint buttions

- non-standard location of home/end/backspace/delete

- removal of prtscr/ins/break and more

Anyone using more than one computer, and most professionals do, will constantly find herself mistyping again and again when changing machines.

 - removal of indication light for SSD: no idea what the machine is doing

- no ethernet standard RJ45 (found in 100% of enterprises)

Besides, no more than 8Gb of memory can be made available. A true killer flagship should have optional 16Gb and SSD of the Macbook Pro level, being 768Gb

Lenovo, restore the keyboard, and keep the terrific 2560x1440 touch screen, the super light weight, the built in LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi AC, HDMI full size, only USB 3.0 ports etc.

Lenovo, please read this:  Stop trying to innovate keyboards. You’re just making them worse
