X1 Carbon Display extremely low brightness

Few days ago I found my X1 carbon device display almost off, I can barely see some figures on the display when windows 10 is loaded. I've tryied the solutions recomended for X1 Yoga but they doesn't work for me. As far as I understand there is a display driver problem with Intel hd 520 that was automaticaly updated. Now I'm using the driver Version 20.19.15.4463 released 5/25/2016 but every time after update my display goes black. Are there any other solutions available? Thanks in advance.

Re: X1 Carbon Display extremely low brightness

Hi aregbars,

Welcome to Lenovo Community! And happy to have you here.

As I understand that you are facing issue black screen issue every time when Display Adapter is getting updated.

So in order to fix that please update this before installing the latest Display driver. Also make sure that you restart the system after installing the patch.

Do let us know how it goes.

Please feel free to post in Lenovo Community Forums if you have any further queries!

Regards,
Prabhansh

Re: X1 Carbon Display extremely low brightness

Hi Yogata,

Welcome to Lenovo Community! And happy to have you here.

You can install the older driver from Intel Website and try to install the zip file

And then you can install the patch and update the display drivers later on.

I hope the above information helped you.

Please feel free to post in Lenovo Community Forums if you have any further queries!

Cheers,

Prabhansh

How can I install old driver if I can't even see the screen to log in?
