X1 Carbon Fan keeps running at high speed after updating BIOS to the latest version (1.3)

Please, My X1 carbon 2nd Gen has its fan keeps running at a loud high speed  after updating BIOS to the latest version (1.3). Even if the cpu usage is nearly zero ,the room is cool and power saving mode is active, the fan keeps running at a loud high speed.i have never got this issue before updating BIOS to the latest version (1.3).

Please release a BIOS update to fix this issue.

Re: X1 Carbon Fan keeps running at high speed after updating BIOS to the latest version (1.3)

I have tried that with no use.The problem is not in the settings of bios but in the bios firmware itself. And it is not possible to downgrade to the previous version.

TPFanControl by troubadix...google for it...

and set all to auto

https://www.staff.uni-marburg.de/~schmitzr/tpfc.html

wait for a new bios..und use the tool until the bios comes...

best regards..

Re: X1 Carbon Fan keeps running at high speed after updating BIOS to the latest version (1.3)

Many thanks,i will use it until the next update.

I also used Intel tool to under volt cpu. And it helps also to reduce fan speed and sound.

I realy fear that the next update would not fix this issue.
