X1 Carbon Fourth Audio Dolby Driver

I have a ThinkPad X1 Carbon 4th Generation about 16 months old running Windows 10 V1709 16299.309.

It is using Audio Driver 66.62.50 which is older than dirt.

If I do a Windows 10 Repair Install directly to 16299.309, the audio driver does not work properly but has to be reinstalled to work properly.

V1803 is out in 2 weeks (thereabouts).

Will the current Dolby Driver worr in V1803?

Have you tested it?

Have you done a repair install with V1803?  And did the audio driver survive the repair install?

I have a ThinkPad X230 which does not have Dolby and is already running V1803 (Insider).

Other newer ThinkPads with Dolby have newer Dobly Drivers.

Is my ThinkPad X1 doomed to become an orphan with no sound?

Thank you for any assistance that Lenovo Staff might possibly be able to provide

Re: X1 Carbon Fourth Audio Dolby Driver

No replies from Lenovo. We must assume then (like V1709) the Conexant Driver has not been tested on V1803.

Re: X1 Carbon Fourth Audio Dolby Driver

Conexant was bought out by Synaptics. Lenovo is probably unaware.  I have registered a complaint with Synaptics to see if they will do anything.

It looks like my X1 Carbon is dead after 18 months of use.
