X1 Carbon Gen 1 resolution upgrade

Hi All you experts,

I am new to the forum, I have just been given an X1 Carbon Gen 1 - very happy Smiley Happy

I would like to upgrade the unit to allow for a higher res then the 1600 x 900, i was using an elitebook that gave me a ridiculous res of 2560 x 1440, the only thing i prefer on the HP...

Any suggustions?

thanks

Re: X1 Carbon Gen 1 resolution upgrade

Hi marcods1908,

Welcome to Lenovo Community! And happy to have you here.

I don't think so it is possible as X1 Carbon 1st Gen was never released with FHD resolution or higher, the highest it can go is 1600x900 which is currently equipped with your system.

I hope the above information helped you.

Please feel free to post in Lenovo Community Forums if you have any further queries!

Regards,
Prabhansh

Re: X1 Carbon Gen 1 resolution upgrade

Yes, I will say it is not as X1 Carbon Gen 1 uses LVDS output for screen.

Re: X1 Carbon Gen 1 resolution upgrade

No official support, and you may not be able to find these kits anymore, but:

Clearly possible, but it'll be a decent amount of work.
