X1 Carbon Gen 3 not booting up if connected to One Link Pro Dock

Hello

 

Over the past couple of days, my X1 Carbon Gen 3 hasn't been able to boot up at all.  It just hangs at the 'Lenovo' logo screen.  The machine is connected to my One Link Pro Dock (4X10E52937).  After some troubleshooting, I disconnected the One Link Pro Dock and restarted my machine and it booted up fine.  This issue has only started occurring recently.

 

Can you please advise why I am experiencing this issue......and how this can be fixed?

 

The machine and Dock are only about 5 months old.

I've done some troubleshooting and believe that there's an problem with my One Link Pro Dock.

 

I unplugged all USB devices from the Dock leaving only the plug from the AC adaptor connected to the Dock (which in turn is connected to the power port of my X1 Gen 3).  Then restarted the machine and it was still hanging on the Lenovo splash screen.

 

When I removed the connection to the Dock and rebooted, the machine started up fine.

 

The Dock is only the months old.  

 

Can I please get a replacement Dock?

Problem fixed.  Faulty ethernet cable.
