Re: X1 Carbon (Gen 4) + Onelink+ Dock - Ethernet Sometimes not recognised

I spoke too soon about the DNS being the issue.  When I had the Onelink+ dock ethernet enabled, I also still had the Wifi enabled, and this allowed the IP address to still go through the browser, but probably through the Wifi.  Typing domain names however is failing to get through the dock ethernet. When i disable the wifi first, then enable the dock ethernet, no internet connectivity, regardless of direct typing of IP address or domain name.

Re: X1 Carbon (Gen 4) + Onelink+ Dock - Ethernet Sometimes not recognised

I am also having this issue, Windows 7 Pro x64 on a brand new X1 Yoga with the OneLink+ dock.

I currently have version 7.23 of the Realtek driver installed which I downloaded directly from their web site.

Having the same issue with X1 Carbon (4th gen) Windows 7 64-bit.

Any progress/solution on this issue?

Re: X1 Carbon (Gen 4) + Onelink+ Dock - Ethernet Sometimes not recognised

A driver that resolves loss of ethernet function on X1 Carbon systems using a OneLink+ dock is currently under test and scheduled to be released by next week.

I will post again when it has been published.

Thank you,

Hi Amy,

Has the new driver been released yet or is it still under test?

Kind regards,

Patrick

Re: X1 Carbon (Gen 4) + Onelink+ Dock - Ethernet Sometimes not recognised

This new driver 10.15 has made no difference to my 6 lenovo X1 Carbon G4's which use these Onelink docks.  We still lose the network port when we undock and dock the laptops.  Requires pulling network cable, display cables, and power cable and replugging in to fix.  This is getting really frustrating!

Windows 8.1 64 bit.

Re: X1 Carbon (Gen 4) + Onelink+ Dock - Ethernet Sometimes not recognised

We've installed the new driver on some X1 4th Gen Carbons and the problem still exists. If you unplug the power cable from the power adapter block and plug it back in, Ethernet is restored. It's strange because unplugging power from the dock nor the plug from a power strip doesn't do the trick.
