X1 Carbon Tablet 3rd gen - touch to tap touchpad problems

Hi,

After a few minutes using my tablet, I notice that the touchpad starts to act up. More specifically, it makes phantom double clicks when using touch to tap. In order to solve that, I need to remove the keyboard and connect it back again.

I'm using the latest Lenovo Synaptics drivers (version 19.4.14.22). Should I start using generic drivers instead?

Coming from a Surface with a stellar touchpad experience, this is quite the letdown. The tablet is unusable without an external mouse and I refuse to deactivate touch to tap - this is a must have on a modern touchpad.

Thanks for your pointers

Well, solution was to remove the Synaptics drivers under the 'Mice' section of the device manager. The hell with Synaptics and their buggy drivers!
