I have to say the X1 has proven to be the worst laptop I have ever owned. I have the same issue with the shut down blinking power light and I also have a number of Wireless issues with "err_connection_time_out" What is giving me great pleasure is working in IT I meet with customers daily and pull out my laptop and show them how bad the X1 Carbon behaves. we have since sold a lot of Surface Pro's!...Great job Lenovo!

I'm still having issues. I did a complete system factory restore to Windows 8. Then upgraded to Windows 10 but made sure I did not do any of the Lenovo Driver updates. Seems to be a bit better, but still some issues.
I have not seen any other recent late October/Nov driver or firmware updates released by Lenovo yet.

I disabled Intel Rapid Start Technology in the BIOS and haven't had the problem since... Standby time with the system just going into sleep instead of deep sleep seems acceptable.
I also had issues with wireless but uninstalling and reinstalling the driver resolved those issues.
