X1 Carbon fails to open new network connections are plugged into dock

2020-09-27, 23:46 PM

Model: Carbon X1 6th gen

Dock: ThinkPad USB-C Dock Gen2

OS: Fedora 32

BIOS: 1.49 (latest version at time of writing)

When the ethernet is plugged into the dock for an extended period of time (say overnight), it stop being able to open new connections. So web-pages that are already open still update with messages, because web-sockets, but I can't open new web-pages or ping anything. When I try to restart my laptop, it gets stuck trying to shut down.

This is possibly related to my previous issues with the dock?

Are there any diagnostics, logs or debug outputs I can provide?
