X1 Carbon running Windows 10 with OneLink dock

2015-08-13, 14:08 PM

I just got a OneLink docking station for my X1 Carbon which was recently updated from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.

It seems that in order to use the monitors I hooked up to my docking station I need to keep the X1 Carbon's clamshell open which doesn't seem right to me. Shouldn't I be able to keep it shut with the monitor off and still be able to use the laptop via the docked monitors?

What's the behavior when you try to use the external monitor with the lid closed?
