Hey there!

I've got the same issue. Is there any solution?

It seems like this is mechanical problem with keys.

Hi, I have the same issue and it's why I always carry an external keyboard around. I used my notebook a lot. I'd love to test the new firmware as well. Cheers

Same issues here. I've kept my device updated all the time through Vantage and System Update. I run the 1.28 BIOS and 1.19 EC.

For me it gets worse if you wake the computer from hibernation. I will keep my eyes open for a fix for this and if nothing comes I will have to take it through Lenovo Service (who has been great when contacting them regarding my customers' laptops) for a fix - and in worse case a refund. Other from the keyboard (which is a huge thing) the laptop is really good. I have a X1 Carbon 4th gen that I've never had these issues with.

I'm also wanna send a special thanks to all the users that provide test results and trying to fix the issue. I can also see some other peoples frustration with this issue for such a high end product.

Hey Lenovo it has taken 4 months now! Escalate this and put your best guys on this to keep your good reputation!

Today Lenovo saw my videos (posted on the previous page) and confirmed the problem with the keys' edges.

This finally shows that there are two problems:

a) The EC controller, that requires an update to minimze signals interferences
b) The physical problem, with involves the edges of the keys

With the Firmware Update, you can type "punching" the keys like a typing machine and no problem happens at all. But, if you type relaxed, missing keystrokes starts to happen.

The admin will send this information to the keyboard team.

Key question:

- For all the people who has the DOLBY ATMOS logo Keyboard, the issue with the edge of the keys happen to you?

Yes, it happens to me on my P1 Gen 2 with ATMOS logo.  I fall into the 'relaxed typer' category.

I have the X1 Gen2 with Dolby Atmos logo keyboard and I reckon the issue with the edge of the keys.

Jup! My X1 Extreme Gen 2 also has this issue, among all other irritating issues with this should-be awesome machine:

- max worktime of 4hrs on power-saving because of oled-4k-touch and i9 processer

- fan almost always on because of i9 processor

- grid visible on oled 4k screen because of touch which I don't need but was mandatory because of the 4k.

- bottom plate loose (because of too long screws?)

had Lenovo communicated that that CPU and screen had these issues I NEVER would have chosen this config.

But the keyboard now even makes it worse!!!!

@dohmen Please consider that 4 hours of battery life with a 4K OLED and a Core i9 is in fact very high battery life. With a Core i7 and a 4K IPS, I only can get 3:30 hours app.

Unfortunately, also the Core i9 can be very hot and that's why the fans are always on.

That said, the 4K OLED display has that grid and it is NOT okay and the bottom cover thing is very annoying, the same as the keyboard!
