It does work better. Wouldn't say it doesn't happen anymore at all, but I reckon it's a thin line between an issue and me missing the keys.

It still happens a lot for me. Every 10 minutes I have 1 or 2 misses.

Doesn't make any difference at all.

Maybe now we can talk about differences between a Dolby Atmos Keyboard (who maybe it doesn't have the problem anymore with the 1.29 BIOS update), and the keyboard without logo. At least for me the last one still has the problem.

This problem is still present for me. X1 Extreme 2nd gen, BIOS version 1.29, Dolby Atmos logo keyboard. Would appreciate a prompt further update for the firmware to address this. As a developer, this is really problematic.

For what it's worth, I just bought a pre-configured X1 Extreme Gen 2. I've been lurking in these forums for a while, concerned about the various problems I read about. However I am a long-time trackpoint / Thinkpad user and was looking for a 15" machine with a centered keyboard. Nothing else really fit the bill.

I am happy to report that my machine, so far, is not exhibiting any of these problems. It came with firmware 1.27 and I did not notice any. It's now updated to 1.29 as Vantage was wont to do. I don't have a problem with keys only being pressed at the edges. I don't have a problem with running my finger across the keyboard. It comes up qwertyuiop every time. I don't have a problem pressing a key and Enter repeatedly, as was shown in a YouTube video, even while Intel XTU is running a stress-test in the background. I'm mostly on AC power and have USB selective suspend disabled in that case.

@gueorgui

It doesnt matter if DolbyAtmos Logo or not. All actual Keyboards are with the atmos Logo (afaik). It seems not to be a Hardware Problem, it seems firmware related. If it would be a hardwareproblem, they couldnt make it better with the firmware, but with new fw its much better. Its a shame, but yeah, i think 2-3 Bios Versions and they will finally fix it.

@joloriquelme

I thought you quit with it. And you decide to sell ^^

If it was a software problem @joc123 would have it too.

And since he doesn't, yet he has the same bios version one must assume it's hardware related.

I tried but I cannot sell it. Nobody will want a 4-month used USD 2.500 notebook (besides it's even out of stock in my country again).

They will ask: why are you selling it? And then... you lie, or you tell the truth and will lost the potential buyer.

I am stuck. At least I am using as a desktop computer, and it works really good, And that's a shame because in the paper it is a spectacular device. On the real life, it sucks.

Later today I will try disabling again USB selective suspend. I forgot that option, that improved a lot weeks ago when we didn't have the updated BIOS and firmware.

BTW, sorry to all for my terrible english as it is not my native language. I am trying to express myself at the best way possible, with anger.
