Re:X1 Extreme Gen 2 missing keystrokes

I'm experiencing the same issue with the missing key strokes (as we speak, while replying to this thread).

Getting really annoying when working on the laptop, losing time correcting over and over again.

Did they mention any release date on the fix?

+1 for still missing keystrokes even after upgrade to BIOS 1.29 which claims to fix them...

Come on Lenovo, get us a fix for this really annoying issue!  At what point was writing the code for a keyboard so difficult?

The fix that Lenovo sent me internally has been working okay. I haven't got any problems.

Of course, there are still missing keystrokes but only due to keys corners phisically not recognizing a softly press.

But it is for sure better than before.

Lenovo should release this to GA ASAP.

Roman, was it BIOS upgrade, some other firmware upgrade or kind of driver?

@flyte

Its not allowed for us to share the file. So just wait until they release it for all. Its a ECFW Update. Lenovo told me they found the real reason of the problem "ECFW code had processed keyboard interrupt incorrectly". After testing the fix they will rollout the update for all others.

Nice to know that there is a fix by a bios upgrade. Do yo havefurther information regarding soft press key corners?

Mine has that problem with some keys, sometimes is annoying to type some words.

Regards.

I recevied a new keyboard today, and it is much better now. Esp. the mouse key does not miss keystrokes anymore.

The technician meant there has been a bad batch of keyboards....not sure if this is the real reason. But it looks like the keyboards with the short key drop cause more problems....
