Same here, I just wrote 344 words and have not had a single miss so far. Promising. I would really love to hear from Lenovo what was causing this and what the fix exactly does. That's probably too much to ask for.

Installed last night. No more irritating username/password errors when I surf the web.

Well, after nearly six months, Lenovo solved our problem (mostly, still pending keys corners issue).

In fact, I feel that the BIOS 1.30 improved even more the experience after the previous private patch I received.

So, thanks Lenovo for fix this. Better late than never.

Now, fix the rest of the problems with the computer and make the X1 Extreme Gen2 what it supposed to be: the best computer of your lineup.

I understand the released Bios is for Gen 2 only; while searching support for Gen 1 only ver 1.28 dated 1st April which has not addressed the issue.

As previously stated and after a number of (unsuccessful) tickets Lenovo support continues to suggest replacing keyboard for me (and assume other Gen 1 users).

I hope they finally understand the problem and provide new ver with similar patch for Gen 1 users.

This thread really needs more feedback to get confirmation if the issue really fixed for everyone, as most were suspecting its hardware issue.

PS: In the middle of making decision if to go with X1 Extreme gen 2 or choose MBP 16.

@aletahir Go for the MacBook Pro 16, unless you really need Windows.

This ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen2 have other minor problems and issues, and doesn't justify the high price.

Read this review. It is the ONLY TRUE AND RELIABLE review of this notebook in the entire Internet. While YouTubers praise the notebook without fully testing it, this is a very detailed one, and the conclusions are clear.
