Re:X1 Extreme Gen 2 missing keystrokes

What the hell man. I updated manually to BIOS 1.30 a month ago which seemed to fix the missing keystrokes, but just updated to BIOS 1.31 via Lenovo vantage and stuttering is back!

that's exactly what I was worried about; i'm on 1.30 (got on it before it was pulled) and I'm afraid to update to 1.31 in case they never rolled back in the earlier fixes; 1.30 fixed all my keyboard issues, and I can't possibly stand to go back. it sounds like some folks updated and didn't have issues though, but I'm definitely either waiting a few months to see if anyone starts making noise in this thread, or until lenovo confirms the same fixes are in 1.31. otherwise i'm on 1.30 for the long haul.

I don't have any issues with 1.31 BIOS.

@joloriquelme that's good to know. you've been one of the most vocal about this issue (which i hugely appreciate) so if you're happy with 1.31, probably i will just update. i'll still give it a few more days though :)

I do encounter more missing keystrokes with BIOS 1.31 than 1.30. Still monitoring. May call Lenovo to replace the keyboard.

I did the upgrade to 1.31 about 4 days ago, and have been using the laptop very heavily through that time. I've seen no difference between 1.30 and 1.31, thankfully; everything is working great.

No loss of keystrokes after moving from 1.30 to 1.31. I'm noticing fewer BIOS beeps too.

I updated to the BIOS at 1.31 but when I use 2 SSDs the problem comes back. The keys do not work: R, T, F, G, V, B. I understand this is called "missing keystroke".

Laptop: X1 Extreme Gen 2.

I have the feeling that with BIOS 1.31, problem went back.

It is much less frecuent than before, but, I still have rarerly missing keystrokes.

Maybe with BIOS 1.30 the problem was actually fixed.

Anyone?

Yes i still have the stutters. I notice it with the mouse as well. If i move my mouse across the screen, it will stop, then about half a second later it will quickly move to where I intended to move it. The keys act the same way. I'll type and then all of a sudden a few letters don't show up, half a second later they quickly appear. It's VERY annoying. I'm so sick of this. Half a year later and this sh** is still not fixed. This is my 3rd and last thinkpad. Disgusted by how lenovo has handled this.
