Replacement keyboard appears to resolve the issue!

Hi all, after reading many of the pages on this post I was considering requesting a full refund for my device as I was experiencing similar issues - I have an I7, 16GB RAM twin 512GB SSD. So I logged a support case to give Lenovo the benefit of the doubt and to my surprise, the new keyboard feels a lot better and is not missing like before. Im yet to get a good few days of testing but already it feels night and day. So for those experiencing issues, try logging a support case with Lenovo to get a new keyboard!

What issue did you log for them to come and replace the keyboard?

I can confirm BIOS 1.30 has less keyboard missing strokes than 1.31.

Yes, me too. I have upgraded to 1.31 in good faith, now I don't have 1.30 to roll back.

This is such a bullsh.t. SO called premier flagship laptop and the problem is going for what, almost a year now? From complete denial to so called fix and back again.

With local Lenovo support center I got to the point where they said to ship the laptop back for a complete refund. I guess that's the way to go for everyone, as clearly Lenovo is unable to fix this issue.

Contact me via PM if you want the 1.30 BIOS installer in order to downgrade. With Lenovo I learned that you always have to keep old driver installers.

I think I'm going to just submit a request for a new keyboard. This is stupid.

Did they offer to do so themselves?

I downgraded to 1.30.

Keyboard seems better yet touchpad doesn't seem to work. I mean, sometimes it does, sometimes it does not. Seems related to device going to/from sleep mode but I am not going to investigate further. Let the people who get paid for it do it properly.

My latest updates..

Everything turned backward after installing the bios 1.31, missing keystrokes is back!

Also because of that update or "the intelligent thermal driver" (which is complete bull also as you can't turn it off in Vantage)

Now the fans never spin and the laptop is slowly creeping to 55-60 degrees Celsius even when idling on desktop and the laptop is so hot you could cook eggs on it..

I haven't even bothered to test what happens if I try to play something.. Probably will melt completely.

The only solution I could come up to this is to turn the Discrete graphics on from bios so it will reduce the CPU load tremendously.

With hybrid graphics the device is overheating with or without AC plugged on and the overheating CPU is also draining the battery record setting fast.

The battery life is not any better with the Discrete graphics as it uses the GTX1650 but I'd rather take that.

I don't know, I'm so frustrated about this garbage. Should have returned it right away last November when the first problems occurred.

3000 EUROS for this pain and misery feels so god d'amn betrayal. It was even somewhat usable when they released the 1.30 bios but then like insult to injury threw a full load of 0 to customers face. Never again Lenovo.

And on top of that like I said before I never marked this topic as solved, some admin did it and now the problem is back.
