I'm on latest bios (1.34) too and I do not experience anything like that. My temps are normal

Re:X1 Extreme Gen 2 missing keystrokes

Hi all!

I'm running on the latest BIOS (N2OET47W 1.34) but I'm still having issues. I've updated everything in Lenovo Vantage as well. I've followed this thread almost from the start.

I've had this laptop for almost a year now and have finally called Lenovo about it and will get my keyboard replaced (live in Sweden). For reference I have a X1 Carbon 4th gen and the keyboard experience is as night and day. This keyboard feels softer and more sluggish than the X1 Carbon and the number of mistypes are at least tenfold. I think no software could fix this totally, it is a hardware issue even though a bios upgrade might get it a little better.

I will have it replaced in the middle of next week and I will get back with the results and I also will check with the technician if they can see the manufacturer of the new and old keyboard. Somewhere in the thread it said something about 2 different manufacturers?

There are three types listed in Lenovo Support as replacement.

Can you do all of us a favour and note the new keyboard SKU/type number and post it here in case you get a good one, so we can have some sort of a reference?

Yes of course, I will note the old and the new one and cross my fingers to get a "good" one.

New BIOS 1.35 available, published yesterday.

It mantains the ECFW 1.22, the same as 1.34.

I am still on BIOS 1.29-1.22.

Seems that they retired the latest bios releases? The BIOS page now list 1.29-1.22 from 18th May. Anyway, I have updated since a couple of days to 1.35 and seems fine

Lenovo pulled BIOSes 1.35 AND 1.34.

Absolutely shocking and hilarous.

1.29-1.22 now the 'latest' available. Glad that I still on that version.
