Hi!

I got the keyboard replaced friday last week and have used the machine extensively and have noticed the following:

They keyboard is better, feels more sturdy and picks up the keys much better. I have to use it a couple of weeks more to be really sure but the initial feeling is a lot better anyways.

The FRU number for the new keyboard is: 5M10W78898

I took some pics of the old one but I missed the FRU/SKU number I noticed now :(

There are three types listed in Lenovo Support as replacement.

Can you do all of us a favour and note the new keyboard SKU/type number and post it here in case you get a good one, so we can have some sort of a reference?

Updated to 1.35 from 1.34 a few days back, no issues to report. 1.34 had been good for me, and the 1.35 update performs the same. The only difference I noticed is that the "TCO" logo they added during POST would awkwardly half-disappear during boot in 1.34, and in 1.35 it appears/disappears cleanly. I'd be lying if I said the old behavior didn't bother me, haha.

Anyhow: if you're still on 1.29 and happy or whatever, I guess there's little reason to change. If you're already on the pulled 1.34 (which means no going back) seems no reason to not go to 1.35.

Dear customers,

I checked with the Lenovo web team and concluded it was incorrect operation by web team to lost the BIOS v1.34 and v1.35 from the web.

After a couple of days later, they found BIOS download page was old then corrected to resume those BIOSs.

We are very sorry about this frustrated matter but you can safe to use those BIOSs.

OK, time to get a revival.

After 14 months, a pandemic, thousands of WFH hours and many unresolved keyboard issues (even with BIOS updates), I was able finally to open a support request asking to replace my keyboard under warranty.

I was also waiting enough time in order to receive the supposed 'fixed' keyboard and not the same I had.

Well, today I had my keyboard replaced.

Dolby Atmos logo on the left, a different feeling, less travel key and silent.

You can easily check that this keyboard has less travel key by looking it carefuly. Also, it doesn't feel like a "sponge" anymore.

Unfortunately, even with this new keyboard, the "keys corners problem" are still there. But, at least, this keyboard is a little more confortable to use.

I will try this new keyboard the next days if I got the same issues that before. At least, for now, I don't see any issues.
