I bought my X1E in December, 2018. I have had various "issues" that are random. The most notable is a complete freeze of the Windows 10 desktop (no black screen) requiring a hard shutdown via the power button. My X1E is up to date on all Lenovo software and drivers.
Given all the various drivers and other components running as services, I can rationalize my problem as a software glitch that may be fixed by an updated driver. However the chance of a bad batch of main boards is also a very real possibility.
My question is would anyone who had a main board replaced and it solved their problem please tell me and the forum the problem that prompted the main board replacement. And did the new board work perfectly. I will exclude the BIOS bricking issue at the beginning of the 2019 year. I am reluctant to send my X1E in to service if there is not a consensus of a bad batch of main boards. But these random crashes are driving me crazy and costing me valuable work.
