X1 Extreme Re-pasting CPU Heat Sink

I am about to re-paste my X1 Extremer heat sink. I have the hardware maintenance manual. I wanted to know from those who have done this procedure if there are any caveats I should be aware of.

Thank you for any assistance.

Re: X1 Extreme Re-pasting CPU Heat Sink

I don't own the X1X, but I would say that you won't get any significant performance increase by re-pasting your CPU heat sink, especially since this is almost a brand new machine. A few years down the road, this might be a different story, but I personally would recommend against re-pasting right now. Just my two cents.

Hope that helps.
